Yankton, population 12,000, is 45 minutes to the southwest, down Highway 81.
Vermillion, home of the University of South Dakota, is 25 minutes to the south on Highway 19.
Lennox, is 25 minutes to the north and Parker, the county seat of Turner County, is 30 minutes to the northwest and the list goes on ... To coin a phrase, you can get there from here.

Centerville has Ten Churches and many organizations who call Centerville home, including the American Legion & Auxiliary, Rotary and the Centerville Area Foundation, which was created to establish a permanent means of funding for projects andi mportant needs in the Centerville Community.


Our area Businesses include the First Midwest Bank, the Total Stop Food Store and almost everything a small town needs. And when you're ready to take a break, Peder Larsen Park offers plenty of family activities to enjoy. The Stan Schmiedt Athletic Complex has a football field and paved running track and serves as a training center for all school sports. Nearby Pascale Field has two baseball diamonds. Centerville also boasts an outstanding museum maintained by longtime resident Sherree Schmiedt.
